A/Prof. Simon Devitt: Team Members

Ferrie Lab

A/Prof Chris Ferrie's lab focusses on research in the characterisation and control of quantum systems. We create new tools and software to describe in detail the properties and deficiencies in natural and engineered quantum devices which can be utilised for the precision control necessary to achieve advantageous outcomes in quantum technology.

These efforts require the application of mathematics, computer science, and physics to describe quantum systems and design new ways to control them. Our techniques can determine the conditions under which quantum devices can be used for quantum computation, quantum simulations, and other quantum information processing tasks.
